How many old dudes can you name who have starred in several of your all time favorite movies and who have also been pulled over in Sweden for driving under the influence…from behind the wheel of a golf cart?

Just when we thought Bill Murray couldn’t be any cooler, he visits Sweden and gets pulled over for driving a golf cart while intoxicated. And then–in Sweden–he refuses the breathalyzer.

Two words: Awe Some.

We have a few points to make on this:

One, we didn’t even know you could get in trouble for driving a golf cart drunk. The two go hand in hand. It would be like handing a blind guy a citation for using a seeing eye dog. Seems unfair. What’s the worst that could happen? Someone gets their foot run over?

Two, we’re pretty sure the Swedish cops had no idea what to do when Bill refused the breathalyzer. The Swedes are fairly passive by nature. If a cop asks some Swedish citizen to blow in a breathalyzer, they’ll blow. Bill telling them he wouldn’t blow in their silly machine must have blown these cops’ fucking minds.

And three, how Murray is it that the cop went on record saying, “There were no obvious signs, like when someone is really tipsy.”? Of course not. Bill is a pro.

Bill, thanks so much for all you do in your efforts towards maintaining awesomeness. From “Caddyshack” to “Stripes” to “Kingpin” to teaching us never to blow, you’re a role model for us all.
