In Long Weekends:

• Celebrating America’s Birthday. Our appreciation for July 4th has exponentially increased since we watched three-quarters of the John Adams mini-series. So this year we plan on being a little extra patriotic with our time off, something like exclusively drinking domestics.

In Movies:

• Figuring Out What to Make of Hancock. If someone knows what to make of this flick, please, throw us a bone. We have no idea. There are so many different factors to weigh it’s making our head hurt. More on this later in the week.

• Making Jokes About Ben Kingsley Sucking Face with an Olsen Twin. Because that’s exactly what happens in The Wackness, an indy flick set in 1994 about a kid who spends his summer before college bartering weed in exchange for sessions with a shrink (Kingsley). Might not suck to catch this movie on cable six months down the road, especially with Method Man rounding out the supporting cast.

• DVD Rentals and Air Conditioning. Nothing quite like spending vacation days getting pelted by AC while coming in and out of naps and blaring crappy movies in the background. This is especially spectacular if you’re at the beach.

In Sports:

• Plenty of Baseball. Get used to it: 60 days till Labor Day weekend!
