Has anyone else seen this new show Raising the Bar? Anyone? It’s on TNT and stars Zack Morris, attorney at law. We’re sure you’ll run into it. We caught the preview the other day during an episode of The Closer when TNT was replaying Tango & Cash. The show is a courtroom drama about young attorneys that we’ll never watch because if we did Booth would spend the whole time talking about how practicing law isn’t accurately portrayed on television. And that, our friends, is worse than Chinese water torture.

The only reason we’re bringing the whole thing up is because we can’t figure out what the fuck is going on with Zack Morris’s hair. We spent the entire preview trying to determine who’s idea it was for him to spend each episode doing his best Scott Stapp impersonation. We wouldn’t trust a guy with that haircut to install our neighbor’s cable, let alone represent prostitutes.

And while we can kind of understand Zack trying to create some separation from his shirtless with AC Slater days, this hippie hair stunt is a step in a wrong direction. Instead of people being like, “Hey, that Mark-Paul Guzzlesburgers guy is a pretty good actor,” they’re going to be like, “When did Zack Morris start taking douchebag lessons?” The hacky sack look is drawing even more attention to the fact that he has a cell phone named after him. And to think, Zack was really stepping out of Belding’s shadow with his stint on NYPD Blue. What a shame. Tooly haircuts get even the best of us.
