Over the weekend FOX committed one of the funnier broadcast goofs we’ve seen in a while when they aired a graphic referring to Panthers TE Dante Rosario as Rosario Dawson. It happened right after Rosario caught the game winning touchdown catch against the Chargers. Take a look:

We’re not sure why exactly, but we REALLY enjoyed the mix up. Probably has something to do with Rosario Dawson having awesome boobs. Nonetheless, it inspired us to drudge up a few other uncomfortable moments in NFL name confusion that have haunted several obscure players over the years. You may or may not remember these (because we made them up).

The time Yahoo Sports compiled Raiders WR Drew Carter’s profile with Aaron Carter’s information. It was awkward for fantasy owners to say the least.

The time John Madden repeatedly referred to Patriots WR Sam Aiken as Clay Aiken. Let’s just say that we doubt Sam has Invisible on his iPod.

The time the Buffalo Bills assumed Blake Costanzo celebrates Festivus. In an effort to be open-minded the Bills erected a Festivus Pole and partook in Feats of Strength. It got weird.

The time a beat writer kept referring to Patriots WR Matt Slater as A.C. Matt endured it for a while, but when the reporter got carried away and asked if Jesse Spano was a good lay it did not end well.

And the time the Niners couldn’t find a picture of Sean Estrada for their program so they used this one of Eric Estrada. Needless to say it didn’t go over well in San Francisco.
