Case Of The Mondays: Georgia Was Wearing Black For A Mother F–king Funeral
September 29th, 2008 by NextRound
What we learned from the weekend that was…
Georgia was wearing black for “a mother f–king funeral”. We thoroughly enjoyed Alabama Strength and Conditioning Coach, Scott Cochran’s, funeral comments last week but brushed them off as nothing more than the amusing ramblings of a professional meathead. Little did we know that Cochran is actually quite the prognosticator of SEC football. Oh, and this just in: Nick Saban is an OK coach. Last guy you want to have a beer with on Friday, first guy you want leading your team into the trenches on Saturday.
Anthony Kim almost killed a guy. Things were going pretty well for Anthony Kim at the Tour Championship up until the third round where he shot a 72 and almost killed a guy with a golf ball to the dome on the 9th tee. Memorable quotes include, “I thought I killed him,” “crater-like abrasion,” and “It was probably the nastiest thing I’ve ever seen.”
The Big 12 has never been so interesting. At least that we can remember. Between the number of solid teams and the above average quarterback play we’re finding ourselves geeked up for Big 12 conference games for the first time probably ever. It’s pretty much the college football equivalent of a conference getting a pair of fakies.
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds got hitched. We’re putting the over/under on this one at three years. The real question is if this will have any affect on Ryan Reynolds ability to exclusively make crappy movies. One thing is for sure though, Alanis Morisette spent the weekend quietly weeping.
Favre is the superior old man quarterback. And his wife doesn’t look like a dude. Suck it Warner.
Shia LaBeouf has still got it. Despite apparently sucking a big dong AND barely making any money AND being an action movie starring LaBeouf, Eagle Eye won the box office this weekend. Moral of the story: Shia LaBeouf is a movie star.
The Bills, Redskins, and Titans are kind of like Indian food. They don’t suck as much it seems like they would suck.
