If there’s one thing that’s being overlooked in the presidential change it’s the sudden dearth of comedy we as a nation are going to experience with W no longer in office. “Great Moments in Presidential Speeches” has been one of Letterman’s best ongoing segments for several years and now he’s forced to hang it up. Here’s the farewell tribute installment:

Hey, late night talk show writers! You assholes are officially on notice! First thing tomorrow you have to start earning your paychecks!

Not that we have much room to talk. W and the Olympics pretty much was our traffic last summer.

    Lets look at it this way: in the past several years, while great fodder for late night comedy, Bushy’s ineptitude has been rather SAD. Now, that he is out of office - it can be funny again!
