Adventureland is set in a cheesy theme park in 1987 and was written and directed by the guy who directed Superbad so it has a couple of things going for it. Let’s take a look…

A Few Thoughts:

• Nice to see we weren’t the only ones who bankrupted our parents with our trip to Europe.

• Bill Hader is the one guy you currently hire when you want to automatically make a movie better. And Kristen Wiig is like the female Bill Hader. Does that mean having both in the same movie would make that movie doubly awesomer or exponentially awesomer?

• How bummed were the producers when Michael Cera passed on the lead role?

• Why has Ryan Reynolds starred in such a string of craptastic movies? He seems like an OK dude. We were to understand the more famous you got, the more selective you could be. His career path is quite the mystery.

• Kristen Stewart doesn’t turn 19 until April of this year. Let that sink in for a second.
