To the people bashing lowrider bikes:
It’s a shame you haven’t taken the time to educate yourself on the history or significance of the lowrider bicycle history or culture. The following is a link about a wonderful man who took an interest in this amazing art form and shared it with others.

I was lucky enough to be apart of the lowrider/dreambike project with a local middle school this past semester. It was an amazing experience. The kids were able to completely design their perfect bike. Only kids with a good attendance and good grades were chosen for this program. It was a very humbling experience as my classmates and myself become both mentors and friends to the kids. This program clearly made an amazing impact on their life. Texas Tech holds a bike parade on campus in which the kids are presented their bikes and are able to ride around campus. It was amazing to hear these kids say that they wanted to go college after being on our campus. A lot of them at the beginning of the project had said that they were “gonna finish high school maybe” and then to hear them talk about that maybe they could be in college… it was amazing. All because of a bike. Here a is a link to last year’s parade.

Maybe it isn’t such a waste of time or money and maybe it is an invest in education.

Okay, look - once you reach three wheels, it is no longer a bicycle.

And you even have “bikes” with four wheels up there. Tsk.
