10 Fictional TV Bars Where We Most Want To Grab A Beer
July 24th, 2009 byOne of Team Cool & Tough’s great gifts is the ability to come up with new places to grab a beer. So much so that we challenged ourselves to rank the top ten fictional TV bars we wish we could frequent. Unfortunately they don’t serve beer at The Max.
# 10: Isaac’s Bar - The Love Boat
The only thing we like more than a cruise ship packed full of horny cougars is a cruise ship packed full of horny cougars being fed drinks by Isaac the Bartender. If he can’t talk two chicks into doubling up on you no one can.
#9: The Forbidden City - Seinfeld
The secret model hangout that George stumbled upon is so well hidden you can’t even find a picture on the world wide web. One day we’ll score a photo of Man Hands and find our way in though.
#8: The Drunken Clam - Family Guy
If we had to settle for a second favorite fictional animated bar we’d go with The Drunken Clam, an establishment that serves canines and you’re free to tool on the disabled.
#7: The Peach Pit After Dark - Beverly Hills 90210
Slutty Beverly Hills chicks, all the nose candy your septum can handle, and a chance to see David Silver rap? Count us in. (Editor’s Note: Peach Pit After Dark footage is tough to come by so you’re going to have to settle for video of David Silver rapping.)
# 6: The Regal Beagle - Three’s Company
Single and looking to be awesome in Santa Monica in the late 70’s? Well then, The Regal Beagle is the spot. Be prepared to settle for Jack Tripper’s seconds though.
#5: Boar’s Nest - Dukes of Hazzard
Spare hubcaps AND Cold Beer served by Daisy Duke? We might move in.
#4: Moe’s Tavern - The Simpsons
The gold standard in fictional animated bars. In the near future we plan to Simpsonize ourselves and make a visit happen.
#3: Gem Saloon - Deadwood
No bar in television history defines “cool and tough” quite like the Gem Saloon. Sure, you might get shot or stabbed on any given night, but you’ll also be encouraged to drop c-bombs and bed a hooker.
#2: Cheers - Cheers
No explanation necessary here. Although, having a beer with George Wendt is on our list of top ten things to do before we die. We’re sure he’ll accommodate us.
#1: Paddy’s Pub - It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
“Day Man”, boozing with bums, dance offs, gambling with Vietnamese business men, high school girls, the occasional Green Man appearance, if we ever grab a beer at Paddy’s we may never leave.
