The more observant members of our audience may have noticed a few small changes to our layout this morning as we’ve unveiled our new “Upcoming” section for live use. Starting today you can finally realize your dream of being a NextRound contributor. Now don’t you wish you’d brought that spare pair of pants?
So what is “Upcoming”? It’s our new dead simple user submission platform that allows our audience members to submit their own image, link, video, and list posts to NextRound. The stuff that doesn’t suck will get promoted to the front page to be seen by everyone and the stuff that does will stay in Upcoming for all of eternity.
This new section is a product of us wanting to create more of a community atmosphere and leverage our audience’s vast expertise in all things awesome while also not diluting the excellence of our primary product (i.e. letting you dummies take over).
A few notes of interest:
- Upcoming posts receiving the most like votes will be automatically promoted to the front page.
- Starting in October we will be giving out monthly (non-crappy) prizes for the month’s best contributor.
- You can use Facebook, Google, and an assortment of other logins to sign up so there’s pretty much no hassle whatsoever.
We’ll be back with more later. Forgive any small issues you might run into over the next couple of days as we iron them out. And feel free to contact us (nextround.net-at-gmail.com) with any questions, comments, or naked photos of your mom.
