Today is supermodel and viral phenomenon Kate Upton’s 19th birthday. That’s right. 19. By just typing those two digits and looking at the above photo I think I’m required by law to take a cold shower.
A few short months ago 18 year-old Kate Upton was simply a remarkably attractive model with zero Twitter followers who Google hadn’t heard of. Today she has close to 70K followers, a massive Tumblr collection that should only be viewed in private, and a name synonymous with pageviews.
How did this teenage (*shakes fist*) beauty from Michigan conquer the internet in a few short months? Well, being eighteen and jaw dropping didn’t hurt, but a unique combo of SI Swimsuit Issue, being confused with a YouTube legend, teaching the masses how to Dougie, and tweeting seductive photos is what really did the trick.
I could explain away in type all day but I’m sure we all agree a visual presentation is really what’s in order.
