What Is NextRound?

NextRound is a website dedicated to helping anyone with a day job maintain as much awesomeness as possible.

The site is made up of two parts: 1) NextRound Groups, the only service on the web designed specifically to help groups of college friends slack off from work, AND 2) The Still Awesome Commentary, our always funny, sometimes informative content.

Who Started It?

We’re two college buddies, Maske and Booth. We began developing NextRound in late 2006 with the help our friends (aka Team Cool & Tough). Our goal has always been to create a site that makes going to work every day suck a little bit less.

We plan to launch the fully functional version of the site soon. We promise.

What Is NextRound Groups?

(Launch Update: After LOTS of development, our private beta launch is scheduled for Summer 2008.)

NR Groups is the anti-social network we’ve been developing since late 2006. We think social networks are unbearably lame but we do appreciate their communications capabilities. With that in mind we’ve taken the simplest, most worthwhile parts and used them to our advantage. NR Groups are highly functional, easy to use and create communication hubs designed specifically to help college friends recreate their daily banter while at work.

With NR Groups, you can:

Share stories, links, pictures, videos, and general bullshitting. Replace mass emails. Plan trips and events. Create polls and vote on just about anything.

NR Groups are for people who already have friends, meaning no hassles, no personal profiles, and no random losers.

What Is The Still Awesome Commentary?

The SA Commentary is our regular content dedicated to stuff guys like us find interesting. When we created this site we had no intention of publishing content on a daily basis, but — inexplicably — most people think we’re funny and a few people even think we’re knowledgeable. From there it has taken on a life of its own. We in no way consider ourselves journalists, and we only kind of consider ourselves comedy writers, so please take everything we publish with a grain of salt. We lay the sarcasm on pretty thick.
